Labor Finders in Palm Desert is IMMEDIATELY looking to hire an ANIMAL CARE TECHNICIAN for immediate work in the DESERT HOT SPRINGS area.
- Position: Animal Care Technician
- Pay: $20/HR
- Hours: Full-Time
- Location: Desert Hot Springs, CA
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for an Animal Care Technician. Preferably, some experience in animal care, handling, and sheltering of animals and/or the performance of related work.
- Possession of a High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a pre-assignment background screen.
- Ability to pass a pre-assignment drug screen.
- E-Verify will be used for employment authorization purposes.
DUTIES:
- Will care for impounded animals by providing food, water, and comfortin a humane and compassionate manner.
- Clean and maintain individual animal runs, cages, and animal care facilities.
- Closely observe animal behavior and appearance to identify sick or injured animals.
- Will accept animals turned in by the public.
- Complete and maintain paperwork, logs, and records;
- Assist the public with adoption of animals or answering questions.
- Will perform related and peripheral duties as necessary and participate in the City’s adjusted workweek schedule.
