Job Title: Assembly Supervisor

Department: Production

Reports To: VP of Manufacturing Operations

Position Summary: Lead a team of 6-12 people in creating plumbing and electrical assemblies and incorporating them into sheet metal housings.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent or Technical school diploma
• 5 - 7 years minimum of industrial manufacturing / assembly supervisory experience
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Computer skills; working in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to read blue prints / electrical schematics and understand assembly drawings and bill of materials
• Working knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot electro/mechanical problems
• Available with respect to required work hours (on call hours may apply)
• Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Review and distribute production orders to the department in accordance with the production schedule.
• Coordinate and aid in the movement of component parts to/from the assembly area, and of finished parts to next operation.
• Read blueprints and bill of materials to ensure assemblies are being assembled according to drawings/work orders and all quality tests are being performed.
• Ensure employees are scanning in and out of work orders correctly and recording accurate count of welded assemblies.
• Work with 2nd shift supervisor and staff to be able to produce assemblies or sub-assemblies at night in order to boost overall capacity.
• Communicate with Engineering/Layout/Quality when issues arise and ensure problem resolution is determined quickly to minimize impact on production.
• Aid in other departments as needed by supervisor.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
