Travel Retail Americas oversees all Travel Retail operations across the Americas (over 900 points of sale) including airports, cruise ships, airlines, downtown duty-free stores, and border stores.


What You Will Learn:


Own the business planning processes and foster a multi-functional collaboration between Commercial, Operations, Marketing and Finance

The Business Planning manager is responsible for working with stakeholders to oversee Commercial forecast & promotion planning and performance for customer & brand level; defining strategic priorities, key drivers, and implementation timelines.

Mission and Defining Characteristics:

  • Dynamic leader who will lead, drive and inspire multi-functional team by aligning strategy and driving organization excellence while challenging the construction of the commercial forecast
  • Drive the full implementation of The Way We Plan, a Commercial Business Planning project, through process/tool development and application, alignment and stakeholder management
  • As a critical stakeholder of the Commercial General Manager, the Business Planner will work closely with KAMs to bring a consumer centric view to the forecast
  • Business Planner role will centralize forecasting expertise, offering a consistent, strategic approach to demand and supply planning via:
  • Improving forecasting and decision-making quality
  • Simplification of planning files and resources for the Area Managers
  • Stronger communication flows and links between Commercial, Marketing & Operations

Key Job Accountabilities & Main Tasks:

Support & Challenge the Commercial Forecast Construction

  • Own the business planning processes and foster a multi-functional collaboration between Commercial, Operations and Finance.
  • Ensure Division business building accuracy by following and challenging KAMs sales monthly forecasts, on baseline promotions and launches.
  • Communicate objective feedback, propose adjustment to key stakeholders (GM, Sales, Supply, finance) and validate the sales forecasts, lead the sales forecast monthly meeting.
  • Bring a customer centric view to the forecast and guarantee the quality of the commercial forecast.
  • Anticipate risks and opportunities. Ensure consistency with the trend and flag gaps.
  • Lead KAMS, Supply and Finance towards optimized sales planning
  • Manage SPO and quotas budgets.
  • Ensure that the promo forecast in units is always up to date with the promo investment budget.
  • Develop deep customer knowledge on supply rules and policy, timelines, stock equation.
  • Monitor the SIT and flag issues with strategic customers.

Competencies:

  • Strong in people management, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good logical thinking
  • Proficient in Excel

* Able to multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field required
  • 6 years in Demand Planning / Operations
  • 3 years Experience in sales/commercial
  • Experience in people management, negotiation and leadership
  • Proactive, ability to self-manage projects, ability to overcome obstacles independently
  • Leadership skills: ability to demonstrate leadership among Operations and Commercial Teams
  • Knowledge of beauty industry, TR Americas is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Master in Analytics
