Job Duties:
1. Perform inspection and test as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.
2. Rework products per company and industry standards.
3. Build test harnesses, loads and circuit boards to support product design as required.
4. Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
5. Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action.
6. Conduct manual test of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions.
7. Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.
8. Update test documentation when required for prototype products.
9. Design and build engineering test boxes.
10. Provide training to less experienced technicians when required.
11. Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors
2. Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
3. Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause
4. Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
5. Ability to read basic engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams
6. Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets
7. Ability to assemble and disassemble products
8. Ability to maintain lab equipment
9. Ability to perform basic mechanical work
10. Ability to work with minimal supervision
