The Head of Strategy and Key Initiatives will help enable the KKNA Region President to manage and organize cross functional execution against key pillars and priorities as set by the North American Executive Committee and the President. This role will report directly to the President and work very closely with the Heads of Corporate Planning and Finance in executing the main deliverables for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Finance, Corporate Planning and the Business Plan Capability Team to coordinate the business planning process across North America.
• Develop the overall business plan “story” for the President in close coordination with Finance and Corporate Planning.
• Coordinate late-stage business development projects with a specific focus on resource requirements and forecast alignment.
• Act as NA Integration Lead post any Business Development activity and be the primary point for integration initiatives as they occur.
• Work with the Immunology/Neurology Franchise Head and other relevant function heads to assist in determining cross functional resourcing needs for KHK 4083, a Phase 3 potential first-in-class treatment of atopic dermatitis and subsequent pipeline assets.
• Coordinate key cross functional strategic initiatives, as determined by the President.
• Work with the NA ICT function as well as Commercial Operations to ensure resourcing and investment is aligned to the respective business functional owners
• Work closely with the Head of Corporate Planning to collect governance action items and report on progress against the regional action plan.
• Execute the President’s agenda on key focus areas regarding broader employee engagement
• Prepare key presentations on behalf of the President to corporate office and the NA Board of Directors.

Education and Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
• 15 years sales and marketing leadership experience, Rare Disease preferred.
• Demonstrated Cross Functional Leadership
• Experience working within Alliance partnerships
• Commercial and launch planning experience.
• An ability to work in a matrixed organization and derive clarity in ambiguous situations
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
• An ability to be able to organize and manage complex processes and projects through informal authority
• Creative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
• A solid understanding of sales, marketing and general commercial execution
• Proven Chief of Staff Experience preferred

Travel requirement: approximately 25% domestic and international
