KVC Kansas Health System is Hiring a Family Support Worker/Driver Near Topeka, KS

KVC Kansas represents one of the strongest and broadest child welfare and behavioral healthcare continuums in the nation. We are responsible for the care of all children who are served by the Kansas Department for Children and Families in the Kansas City Metro and East Regions. KVC is seeking to hire an FSW/Driver.

This position provides transportation services for contract children requiring transports during work and after hours. In addition, this position supports Case Managers in their day-to-day responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs:

  • T o continue to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure & stable; family centered; connected to the community; and which relies on evidence-based practice necessary to support contract services in Kansas.
  • Provide a secure environment for children while in transit.
  • Provide on time arrival for all children.
  • Monitor and document outstanding children's behavior and activities.
  • Assist in the transfer of materials throughout KVC.
  • Maintain all required forms and written reports.
  • Exhibit a high level of courtesy and professionalism.
  • Ensure confidentiality.
  • Serve as a mandated reporter of abuse and neglect.
  • Create, type and distribute various reports, correspondence and requests within designated time frame.
  • Provide back-up and support to Case Managers as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and KVC required trainings.
  • Complete timely documentation.
  • Assist with regular fleet car maintenance, cleaning, tagging, scheduling of repairs and confirmation of insurance documentation in each.
  • Deliver discs to court.

Hours maybe 10AM-6 PM or 11AM-7PM. This position will assist with on-call schedule.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Licensure/Certification:

Current Driver's License and Auto Insurance

Experience:

Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience with children and families preferred.
