TITLE: Maintenance Specialist
DEPT: Facilities
REPORTS TO: Director of Programs
STATUS: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY
Responsible for maintenance and repair of Kuhn facility to ensure the safety of Kuhn staff and participants.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: NONE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
This position requires such typical work operations and responsibilities as, but not limited to:
Performing necessary repairs and maintenance of Kuhn facility and vehicles
Documenting maintenance/inspection records.
Conducting monthly inspections of building and vehicle safety equipment
Performing periodic maintenance at Group Supported Employment sites.
Purchasing maintenance supplies as needed for facilities maintenance and repairs.
Serve as a backup driver as needed.
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Responsible for performing work duties in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety practices and
providing input into enhancing overall company safety.
2. Work with and assist others as required. Performs additional duties at the request of management.
Schedule flexibility may be required.
3. Member of Kuhn safety committee
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Valid Connecticut driver’s license (ability to obtain Public Passenger Permit endorsement and/or CDL license.
2. Satisfactory driving record.
3. Pass all local, state and federal requirements for obtaining and maintaining a valid Public Passenger Permit and or CDL license.
4. Ability to operate all Kuhn vehicles and equipment.
5. Experience & basic knowledge of repair methods for facilities.
6. Obtain and/or maintain CPR Certification/First Aid training, PMT certification.
7. High School Diploma or GED. Demonstrated knowledge of facilities maintenance/management.
8. Possess basic computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to assist clients with limited mobility on and off vehicle. Ability to lift materials on and off vehicles as well in maintenance work.
2. Ability to operate all Kuhn vehicles.
