Kratos is seeking a qualified Data Center Manager in support of the RITS contract at Redstone Arsenal, AL. This position supports the operation of all data centers managed by the RNEC.

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitor Data Center environment for temperature, humidity, water temp fluctuations both manually and using DCIM software tools.
• Report abnormalities or crisis situations relevant to power, water, temp, humidity to appropriate stakeholders. Follow and update any GFI (Government Furnished Information) or Battle Plan documentation, as necessary.
• Conduct repetitive tasks to include the daily, weekly, and monthly routines. Examples: daily walk-through, daily and monthly log reviews, weekly under floor water spot checks, monthly fire extinguisher inspections, monthly safety equipment inspections.
• Schedule preventive and routine maintenance by various vendors or facilities on specific data center equipment such as CRAH/CRAC operability, electrical fluctuations, Water pipes, Modular PDU, Rack PDU, Power Whip cables, spillage, floor tile damage. Update appropriate documentation with data center design changes.
• Track, update configuration changes, re-label specific data center equipment such as Modular PDU feed changes, whip changes, rack PDU changes, rack movement changes and update DCIM software tool.
• Track and update data center floor plan changes.
• Escort VIP tours and vendors for specific data center equipment repairs or configurations
• Comply with government guidelines and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and investigate RCA for data center issues or problems.
• Coordinate and oversee inclement weather designated gathering points for bldg. 5301 basement within the data center.
• Perform infrastructure capacity planning and ensure system environments are adequately scalable for anticipated growth and availability
• Provide customers with data center inquiries, power cable connectivity and configuration of the following components Modular PDU, Whips, Rack PDU, under floor power connectivity.
• Follow, update, and create data center operations, policies, and procedures with SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Conduct QA (Quality Assurance) reviews and communicate with the stakeholders if issues are found.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in a computer related field or equivalent technical certification
• At least 6 years of experience
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Must have Security Certification
