Kottke Trucking, a privately held, family-owned truckload carrier specializing in reefer (temperature controlled) and dry freight services, is looking for a Safety Assistant to join our team. We gave been in continuous operation since 1938 by three generations of the Kottke family. Service driven, with old-fashioned work ethics, we strive to build long-term customer relationships through outstanding customer service. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum education: Proof of High School diploma /GED equivalent
• Experience in the trucking industry preferred
• Knowledge of the current legal base and DOT FMCSA Regulations preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
• Able to prioritize, set goals, and accomplish responsibilities with limited supervision
• Demonstrated highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Dependable, reliable and self-motivated

Duties:

• Hours of Service
• Maintain Clean Inspection Tracking
• Track Driver Monthly Assignments
• Preforming and Tracking Drug Screens
• Maintaining Driver DQ files
• Processing New Hires and New Hire Orientation Safety Paperwork
• More duties to be assigned once trained

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
