Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented LTL Outbound Route Planner to join our dynamic team in Lake Alfred, FL. The Outbound Route Planner will be responsible for planning and optimizing outbound LTL transportation routes using Zoho and PowerPRO software to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of freight. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of LTL logistics and routing principles.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the dispatch team to plan and optimize outbound LTL transportation routes using software based on customer requirements, freight volumes, and carrier capacity

- Analyze shipment data, including origin, destination, weight, and dimensions, to identify optimal route options and allocate freight to appropriate routes and carriers

- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and warehouse personnel using tools to coordinate loading schedules, provide route instructions, and ensure timely departure of shipments

- Monitor shipment status, track delivery progress, and proactively address any issues or delays to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction

- Coordinate closely with customer service representatives to address customer inquiries, resolve service issues, and provide updates on shipment status as needed

- Maintain accurate records of route plans, shipment schedules, delivery confirmations, and related documentation

- Continuously evaluate and optimize route planning processes, transportation strategies, and carrier performance to improve operational efficiency and service quality

- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards in all outbound route planning activities

- Receive and review customer orders via phone, email, or online portals

- Enter order details accurately and efficiently into the company's order management system

- Coordinate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to schedule and confirm shipment pickups and deliveries

- Communicate proactively with customers to provide order status updates, address inquiries, and resolve any issues or concerns

- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and customer requirements when processing orders

- Collaborate closely with the dispatch team to prioritize orders, optimize shipment schedules, and meet customer delivery deadlines

- Maintain accurate records of order transactions, shipment details, and customer communications

- Identify opportunities to streamline order entry processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction

- Assist with other administrative tasks and duties as needed to support the operations team

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field (preferred)

- 3-5 years of experience in LTL logistics, outbound route planning, or transportation operations

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions

- Proficiency in Zoho and PowerPRO software for route planning, dispatch, and transportation management

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external carriers, and customers

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of LTL logistics, outbound routing principles, transportation regulations, and industry best practices

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve operational challenges and service disruptions efficiently
