Koss Industrial, Inc. is Hiring a Production Planner Near Green, WI

Position Description:
The production planner will be responsible for routing parts projects through the production process to ensure that all deadlines are met. You will determine labor, material and equipment requirements and capacities and resolve production planning issues. You will also be responsible for helping to create and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10 years of experience in a job-shop environment preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment that includes machining, welding, metal

fabrication, metal finishing and/or waterjet cutting capabilities preferred.

  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Highly proficient with computers including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Uses effective communication skills.
  • Offers a continuous-improvement mindset and has quality control experience.
  • Displays knowledge of material, equipment and labor requirements.
  • Demonstrates personal character in line with our Values and Code of Conduct.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Determine the material, equipment, and labor requirements for parts and assemblies and coordinate production in accordance with those requirements and available capacities.

Develop knowledge of each stage of the production process to effectively organize the necessary resources that will keep production on schedule. Assess whether required parts can be issued from finished goods inventory, manufactured in-house, or purchased goods.

Assemble work order packets to include schedules, pick lists, prints and/or assembly drawings and inspection sheets.

Work to ensure the most efficient flow of materials, parts and assemblies between or within departments. Recommend ways to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.

Track and manage the manufacturing workload and provide regular reporting on project status. Communicate engineering or customer changes or special manufacturing requests. Update and maintain the ERP system.

Resolve production planning issues and conflicts. Work cross functionally to address equipment downtime, material shortages and other problems.

Show a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer service. Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed. Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,434.00 - $56,204.00 per year
