Koss Industrial, Inc. is Hiring an Estimator Near Green, WI

Koss Industrial is a leading manufacturer of custom stainless steel processing equipment and a preferred provider of quality products and services to the cheese, food, beverage and other sanitary industries. We’ve been providing equipment, components, parts, electrical controls, instrumentation and automation since 1978. Our services include engineering and design, electrical engineering and automation, custom fabrication and finishing, precision machining and waterjet cutting, as well as installation, service and repair. Our precision machining and waterjet cutting services are available for contract manufacturing.

ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage incoming customer Request For Quotes (RFQ’s).
  • Analyze customer prints and other documentation to prepare detailed sales estimates including labor and material requirements.
  • Defines how parts will be manufactured.
  • Identifies outsourced services and associated costs.
  • Communicate written proposals to customers.
  • Issue quote numbers for reach new RFQ’s and create quote folders in the sales directory.
  • Work with Operations, Production, and Quality to ensure accurate estimates, product quality and timely delivery.
  • Field calls and emails from customers.
  • Increase sales by prospecting current and potential customers.
  • Maintain quote files.
  • Field calls and emails from customers.
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, machine throughputs, fabrication, and track actual costs to quote estimates as manufacturing orders are completed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience estimating CNC machining, waterjet, fabrication and press brake work.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes including band saws, shears, water jet cutting, press brake forming, deburring and finishing, CNC machining, welding and assembly.
  • Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude including reading prints.
  • Knowledge of part inspection processes.
  • Must be results orientated, excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Must have good time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Commitment to quality and safety excellence a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs and ERP software.
  • Experience working directly with customers.
  • Must possess good problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be a reliable, highly motivated, self-starter.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
