General Summary of Responsibilities: Kona Ice is the premier mobile shaved ice company in the country. This position requires the individual to manage all aspects of the business on a day-to-day basis. The job will change daily and will be a year round position.
Essential Duties of the Position: (The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional tasks as necessary.)
Provide outstanding customer service and maintain communication cycle through calls, emails, and mailings to clients, schools, and event coordinators
Maintain event and client database to ensure the information are available to team members to run daily events.
Responsible for updating, submitting paperwork, and payment of fees necessary to participate in events, venues, and contracts.
Manage financial records such as sales reports, special tax, givebacks, and client invoices on daily basis or as needed.
Responsible for creating marketing material for use of social media and mailouts throughout marketing cycles.
Responsible for maintaining and updating all social media handles including mini website
Collaborate with owners to manage contracts, price negotiations with clients, and improvement of administrative duties.
Assist with the onboarding process including coordinating and maintaining all tax paperwork, food handlers permits, background checks, and payroll documents
Manage inventory to accurately stock and prep all vehicles before or after shifts
Manage staff Interviews and train new applicants
Cover open shifts and work events out in trucks when needed
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work any day of the week. We are open 7 days a week and this position will be working 5 days a week minimum and 6 days as necessary.
Must have reliable transportation to base of operation and/or event location(s).
Comfortable working on your feet for full shift--in hot & cold weather conditions.
Can work independently and work well with minimal supervision.
Have a positive attitude & warm, outgoing personality.
Team-oriented, adaptable, punctual, honest, trustworthy & dependable.
Work at a quick pace, while multi-tasking.
Can communicate effectively with people of all ages.
Ability to perform quick, simple math calculations.
Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
Are available to work flexible schedule-including days, nights, weekends, & some holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with children a plus.
Experience with monetary transactions.
Customer Service experience: 1 year or more.
Food Service/Concessions experience.
Education, Experience, and Certification/License Qualifications:
Must possess high school diploma or GED. College Degree preferred
Financial Responsibility: As a member of the Kona Ice community, this position is expected to be fiscally responsible in all financial transactions with customers. This position is also responsible to follow the policies governing the use of company-owned equipment including the ability to handle cash, make change accurately & operate Square point of sale for card payments.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodation.
Ability to communicate with reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
Able to lift, bend, stand for long periods of time. Able to go up and down high stairs.
