The Journeyman Roofer is a qualified installer of all certified manufacture roof systems.

Essential Responsibilities include the following
(Other duties may be assigned)

• Works as directed in a safe and efficient manner per industry standards and regulations.
• Meets with Foreman to go over specific job requirements.
• Knows the system thoroughly, including details, application and processes.
• Takes periodic inventory of materials during construction and notifies foreman, with enough lead time to make a make-up order.
• Communicates effectively with Foreman.
• Consults with Foreman on issues with crew members concerning issues of misbehavior or other inappropriate behavior that could compromise safety, or the integrity of others employees and Kodiak.
• Ensures proper care when in the use of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety practices.
• Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

Requirements

• Education and/or Experience: Must have experience installing roofing systems and siding.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Knowledge of Internet and email

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.95 - $41.17 per hour
