WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Efficient management, training and mentoring of the food technologists and managers assigned.
  • Participation in hands-on product development, customer product demonstrations, cost reduction and continuous process improvement will be expected as well as any other.
  • Design and physical production of bench top and test production samples that accurately mimic production line / fully commercialized products.
  • Design, plan, and physically assist with product and process improvement activities.
  • Utilization of statistics to define physical parameters of products developed and for process improvement after commercialization.
  • Data entry and file maintenance.
  • Physical assistance in pilot and production line tests, commercialization of new products on the production lines and in continuous improvement efforts on the production lines.
  • Other relevant duties and projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM...

  • B.S. of Food Science, Meat Science or related degree, M.S. or Ph.D a plus
  • 10 years of product development experience minimum, further processed poultry and red meat preferred.
  • Highly motivated, proactive work ethic.
  • Bi-lingual language skills a positive.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics.
  • Must be willing to work early morning hours, evening hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel (approximately 30%).
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended
