Knoxville Center for Autism, Inc. is Hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Near Knoxville, TN

Knoxville Center for Autism is currently seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team. Our center specializes in providing ABA-VB therapy to children aged 2-10 with an Autism Diagnosis. In this role, the Speech Therapist will operate within our clinic, conducting engaging and effective speech sessions lasting between 30 minutes to 1 hour. 
We are seeking a qualified candidate with a proven track record of experience in working with children diagnosed with autism, coupled with the ability to adeptly handle behavioral challenges that may arise during sessions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Conducting appropriate initial Assessments & reassessments as needed. 
  • Conducting sessions (30min - 1 hour in length) in clinical setting. 
  • Conducting Parent Support (training) sessions as needed with families during sessions. 
  • Complete session notes daily and reports as required by payor. 
  • Collaborate with all professionals at KCA to coordinate care. 
  • Manage existing caseload 
  • Experience teaching and working with different AAC devices. 
  • Strive to help every child reach their full potential. 
  • Patient, organized, very skilled in SLP procedures and techniques, able to handle tantrums and work with clients directly with ease, works well with others, friendly, works well with young children, able to give and accept constructive criticism, is a team player, passionate about working and helping children and their families, timely person.
Qualifications 
  • Must have master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. 
  • ASHA CCC certification
  • Active State License 
  • Excellent organization skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. 
  • Must be able to work Monday and Wednesday, with the possibility of adding Friday.

  • Up to $300 a year for CEU’s 
  • Reimburse for SLP-CCC certification.
  • Reimburse for Tennessee License.
