Description
The Buyer will be responsible for daily tasks assigned to them by the Purchasing and Sourcing Manager, and all listed regular duties.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible to maintain and update purchase orders and excel files related to outside processing
- Procure raw material and services as needed.
- Ensure purchasing processes are followed.
- Implement strategic stocking agreements with suppliers including Kan-Ban, Consignment, VMI, etc.
- Offer suggestions to reduce inventory and increase inventory turns.
- Offer solutions to reducing overall costs and actively drive material productivity projects.
- Monitor market trends for critical raw materials.
- Resolve invoice issues as needed.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts and payment terms with current and potential suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance through supplier scorecard.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ensure correct stock materials based on sales data and projections
- Maintaining and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers
- Reviewing business processes in and out, and looking at ways of reducing costs while maximizing value to the company
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, identifying and resolving supply chain issues
- 1-3 years of progressive work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn Oracle ERP systems and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials
- Must be a US citizen, legal permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting hourly pay for this role is targeted to be at $20.00.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range. We recognize that the person(s) we select for hire may be less experienced or more experienced than the role as posted; if this is the case, any updates to available salary ranges will be communicated with candidates during the recruitment process.
