As we continue to expand and strive for excellence, we seek a passionate Senior Buyer to bolster their operations and take our procurement strategies to the next level. Role & Responsibilities: Devise and execute strategies for effective procurement, storage, and distribution. Rigorously assess suppliers, handle negotiations, and nurture vendor relationships. Keep a pulse on market fluctuations to ensure we get the best quality at optimum value. Team with other departments to predict demand, strategise inventory levels, and guarantee timely deliveries. Oversee inventory levels, ensuring stock sufficiency while reducing wastage. Per our esteemed company policies, lead the procurement journey from initiation to delivery. Sniff out opportunities for reducing costs and refining processes. Offer mentorship and direction to the wider procurement team. Remain informed about industry movements, regulations, and benchmark practices. Assess, review, and select tenders and quotes from prospective suppliers. Continuously research and evaluate current and potential suppliers. Key Requirements: A minimum of 5 years experience in a procurement or purchasing role, dairy would be a significant advantage. Astute negotiation acumen. Exemplary communication skills, both written and spoken. Capacity to operate independently, handling multiple projects concurrently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant procurement software. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus. Certifications like CPSM, CSCP or CIPS would be an advantage. A proven history of achieving cost savings and refining processes. Solid experience in managing supplier relationships. An analytical mind with stellar problem-solving capabilities.
