The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for all tasks associated with proper revenue recognition under ASC 606, including analyzing new skus for proper treatment, updating Netsuite for changes in the stand alone selling price, reviewing daily transactions to ensure they are calculating correctly, and creating journal entries to post revenue on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate reporting of revenue in the company’s accounting system, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations and performing internal controls
• Analyzing and updating quarterly analysis
• Handling day-to-day, month-end, quarter-end close activities (revenue assurance, account reconciliation, analysis, and reporting)
• Assisting with internal controls, continuous improvement of revenue processes, and researching and documenting accounting positions for complex transactions
• Analyze and understand various product/service offerings and related revenue streams to ensure proper revenue recognition
• Be a key contributor to the month-end revenue close by validating accounting for revenue under ASC 606, reviewing revenue account reconciliations, conducting fluctuation analyses and reporting disclosures
• Research, draft, and/or maintain revenue accounting memos including write-ups on large and complex deals, and for non-standard revenue transactions
• Support ad hoc projects, including systems implementation, and process improvements related to revenue processes

Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Accounting/MBA, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 Years Experience in Accounting and familiarity with ASC 606.
• Previous experience in revenue accounting.
• CPA, or in final stages of sitting for the exam
• Extremely proficient in excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Salesforce or equivalent CRM
• Proficiency in system/workflow analysis
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
