Clearwater positions open to candidates located in greater Tampa Bay area.

The Analytics Engineer is responsible for data transformation and data modeling in the KnowBe4 enterprise data platform. This role will partner with the business to enable analysis and define critical business KPIs. Further, this role will design, build, and maintain the transformation pipelines to reliably deliver these KPIs and other data to downstream analytical consumers and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Build and support data transformation pipelines using our data warehouse and data building tool
• Design and document core data model used by downstream analysts and business users
• Build and maintain KPI calculations, from raw data through to consumption in data visualization tools
• Work with business stakeholders to define and prioritize the analytics roadmap
• Build and refine datasets for use by data scientists in machine learning models or other data products
• Provide best practices and mentoring in analysis/dashboarding to business users

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or work experience in related field
• Minimum 3 years in data analysis, software engineering, or related discipline
• AWS certifications are a plus
• Strong understanding of SQL, preferably with experience using Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.
• Experience with at least one other language, preferably Python or Java
• Ability to design and maintain data models to support analysis and visualization
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including version control, continuous integration, etc.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, etc.
• Experience with AWS is a plus
• Experience with dbt is a big plus
