Knock Knock Children's Museum is Hiring a Marketing and Communications Manager Near Baton Rouge, LA

Marketing Manager

Job Description

Knock Knock Children's Museum (KKCM) is looking for a highly qualified Marketing and Communications Manager. This individual will contribute to existing marketing programs while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with Knock Knock's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing and communications functions, including advertising, branding, digital marketing, social media, graphic design, website management, marketing analytics, and event planning and execution. The Marketing and Communications Manager will report directly to the Executive Director and must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.


Objectives of this Role

  • Help develop and implement Knock Knock's brand strategy and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and message
  • Expand general public awareness of KKCM's offerings and programs to grow membership and increase admission, donations, and community partnerships using an array of communications platforms and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Work with all departments to help develop and execute an annual marketing and communications plan.
  • Manage the museum website.
  • Provide day-to-day support for ongoing marketing and promotional needs.
  • Develop and execute a marketing and communication strategy to drive attendance, membership, and mission objectives.
  • Develop creative content including video segments across all digital platforms.
  • Maintain overall marketing calendar and social media calendar.
  • Draft and send mass emails and newsletters using email marketing software.
  • Manage the creation of museum marketing collateral, signage, external program graphics, and videos in coordination with KKCM Development and Learning Innovation teams.
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success.
  • Help ensure consistent branding and messaging throughout all external and internal communications
  • Help develop and maintain photography and video libraries.
  • Support KKCM special event planning and set-up.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, social media marketing, and video production
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in website management, particularly WordPress
  • Experience in using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Experience in graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software

· Experience with research using data analytics software· Past experience in event planning and execution, a plus
