Overview:

Manager, Indirect Tax opening offering a leadership opportunity in a highly visible role. Reporting to the VP of Tax, the professional hired will proactively partner within the tax team and numerous functional teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of sales & use and property tax compliance and filings.
• Oversee managing and providing data to outside service providers to ensure timely filing of all tax compliance filings.
• Perform indirect tax diligence pertaining to new acquisitions, new construction, and early buyouts of solar energy projects.
• Lead discussions with a variety of teams to understand the scope of new transactions in order to provide the proper guidance from an indirect tax perspective.
• Remain abreast of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to business transactions.
• Research new sales and use tax laws and regulations.
• Lead special tax projects.
• Establish and refine tax policies, processes, and system workflows.
• Manage a small team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• 4 years experience in state and local tax matters.
• Proficiency in use of state and local tax compliance software, legal research software and suite of Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with US state and local tax compliance for large corporations.
