POSITION OVERVIEW

Burn Boot Camp is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient IT Operations Support Intern to join our team for a summer internship. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing technical support to our staff and ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems within our organization. This role will be based out of our Headquarters Office in Cornelius, NC.

• Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) Scores 
• Adherence to departmental SLAs (Service Level Agreements) 
• Average Ticket Response Time 
• Incident Resolution Time 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop software applications and operating systems.
• Experience with IT security, networking, and cybersecurity solutions is a plus.
• Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and maintenance as needed.
• Set up and configure new end user devices including laptop computers and peripherals for staff members.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement efficient desktop support processes and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory.
• Assist in the deployment of software updates and patches.
• Conduct user training sessions to enhance staff members' understanding of desktop systems and applications.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest improvements and enhancements to desktop support services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong technical aptitude with a passion for learning about desktop systems and technology.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Prior experience in desktop support or IT-related roles is a plus but not required.
