Position Summary

The Accountant is a full time position reporting to the Accounting & HR Group Leader on daylight shift which is typically from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with overtime available through extended hours or work on Saturdays.

Vivid Position Description

In this role you will be responsible for performing all of the accounting duties necessary to ensure the success of Kiski Precision’s operations. These duties include preparing journal entries, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records as well as verifying and posting details of business transactions. In this position you will be interfacing directly with vendors and customers to support their inquiries.

You will support the management of KPI by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports for monthly evaluation and interpretation which is critical to the success of our business. This role will also prepare for, and assist with, annual financial audits along with month and year end closings. The preparation of analysis of accounts will be required.

Kiski Precision is a contract manufacturer with a dynamic and growing business. We are supported by our parent company which collectively has over 100 years of accounting experience to provide guidance, training, and support. Our goal is to have each month’s closing completed by the second business day of the following month. This role will have regular interaction and contact with the accounting team from our parent company to ensure the success of this and similar goals.

All work is done onsite at our campus on Hyde Park Road near Leechburg PA in one of our three temperature controlled facilities. Your office will be located in our newly remodeled administration building which is home to the Administration Team, Customer Service Team, Engineering, and Executives. Your efforts will assist our Automotive, Government, Energy, and Automation customers.

Is this job for you?

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university is required for this position. If you do not have one, do not apply. Kiski Precision is a dynamic manufacturing company that moves quickly and as such all work is done onsite at our Leechburg location. While we are flexible to support the unpredictable events that life can throw at you, this position does not have regular days worked at home. You will be expected to be in the office Monday through Friday.

This position will need to work a few hours in the evenings on the last day of the month to ensure all reports are generated correctly once business is complete for the month. This work can be completed in the office or at home. Work done to support this need can be treated as overtime or offset by reduced hours in the office.
