POSITION: Housekeeping Supervisor

SUMMARY: The Housekeeping Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading our team of guest room attendants, motivating and training, and providing a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining housekeeping standards. Supervisor will also ensure day-to-day housekeeping operations are meeting company standards and running smoothly. Must be able to work flexible schedule (AM, PM, and weekends).

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

1. Supervises Room Attendants, Lobby Attendant, and House Attendants.

2. Inspects all clean rooms and report them to the front desk.

3. Inspects all vacant rooms and report all discrepancies to the Housekeeper Manager.

4. Corrects all cleaning discrepancies in vacant rooms’ changes status on the computer.

5. Inspects all rooms on maintenance status and report repairs needed in guest rooms to the Engineer on duty. Log all engineering tasks.

6. Inspects all linen closets and assists in the inventories (Linen & Amenities).

7. Brings all lost and found articles to the Housekeeping Manager.

8. Assists in the training of new Room Attendants and House Attendants.

9. Identifies amenities and/or special request items (i.e. extra pillows) needed for arriving guests, ensure they are delivered prior to guest arrival.

10. Performs other related duties as requested by the Housekeeping Manager.

Additional Responsibilities-

APPEARANCE AND GROOMING: All staff members are required to follow the guidelines set forth by the associate handbook.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff members of the organization and hospitality community. Command of the English language in order to communicate with guests and employees.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral, or diagram form, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a staff member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is constantly required to stand and walk; use hands and fingers, to handle and feel objects, tools controls and type; talk with and hear guests. The staff member is occasionally required to sit. The staff member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 500 pounds. The specific vision abilities required are close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a staff member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• At least two years prior Housekeeping experience
• Supervisory experience required
