• The Kitchen Manager/Chef position requires an individual with 3-5 years of culinary experience in a high volume restaurant environment. This operation is within an upscale entertainment venue
• The ideal candidate will have an understanding of both what tastes good and what looks good to the guest and is creative and can help develop menus and specials. Chain background with systems and controls is helpful. Multiple menus including, lunch, dinner and event menus as well as weekly specials created by the Executive Chefs and their teams
• Kitchen Managers/Chefs work with Assistant Kitchen Managers/Sous Chefs in running the day to day operation of fast paced, quality driven kitchens, including execution of meal service, purchasing, personnel management, and sanitation management. The ideal candidate must have integrity, strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and a passion for food
• Candidates must be willing to work long and flexible hours and oversee a team in a fast paced environment.

Requirements

• Strong leadership skills
• Working knowledge of classic and contemporary Southern American Cuisine
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Even temperament with clean work habits and team building abilities are essential
• Hands-on experience with meats, fish, and poultry is helpful
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to train, direct, and motivate a diverse team
• Must be able to source and develop a talented team
• Ability to work well in a team oriented environment
• Working knowledge of profit & loss management
• Must be able to complete inventories, ordering and schedules
