Description

Summary:

The Chief Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning building maintenance from a variety of components. Oversight of the operation and maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process controls and property equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and train staff.

• Responsible for implementation and management of the preventative maintenance program.

• Assist with the budget of maintenance and new equipment.

• Maintain detailed inspections of equipment, licenses and keep records for property audits.

• Oversee construction projects including scope, pricing, implementation, and finishing.

• Manage the utilization of power and other utilities to achieve cost effective operations.

• Responsible for after-hours response; back up for call outs by other on-call staff.

• Maintain proper business communication with internal clients, vendors, and contractors.

• Perform all other business-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 10 years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team.

• Construction knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, drywall, floor maintenance, painting, and a strong backgrounding building maintenance.
