Summary:
The Chief Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning building maintenance from a variety of components. Oversight of the operation and maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process controls and property equipment.
Responsibilities
Manage, develop, and train staff.
Responsible for implementation and management of the preventative maintenance program.
Assist with the budget of maintenance and new equipment.
Maintain detailed inspections of equipment, licenses and keep records for property audits.
Oversee construction projects including scope, pricing, implementation, and finishing.
Manage the utilization of power and other utilities to achieve cost effective operations.
Responsible for after-hours response; back up for call outs by other on-call staff.
Maintain proper business communication with internal clients, vendors, and contractors.
Perform all other business-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
10 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team.
Construction knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, drywall, floor maintenance, painting, and a strong backgrounding building maintenance.
