Description

Purpose

We are seeking a highly organized and dedicated individual to support the FRC Leadership team with onboarding and training of FRC team members. This person must have a proven track record of effectively collaborating with staff from diverse cultural backgrounds and a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. This position will help ensure consistency in service coordination, training, documentation, and record-keeping in compliance with ESIT regulations and Kindering standards.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, conduct, and oversee Family Resources Coordinator (FRC) training for new and on-going staff in collaboration with managers and FRC mentors
  • Set the standard for FRC department processes, procedures, and service delivery. Serve as point person and resource for FRC questions
  • Partner with Talent Risk Program Manager to update and maintain FRC Skill Development Plan (SDP) and 5 Minute Meeting Plans
  • Track and document trainee’s progress using various tools including SDP test questions, status reports, and mentor feedback.
  • Provide detailed input and recommendations to FRC managers for new employees’ 30-60-90-day performance reviews
  • Conduct ongoing refresher trainings on various job functions with FRC department as needed
  • Collaborate with FRC leadership team and other departments in the implementation of updated processes, procedures, and standards
  • Oversee documentation of departmental procedures. Maintain FRC Program Manual and Kindering Fileshare in collaboration with FRC managers
  • Participate as a member of the FRC leadership team to identify on-going training needs and procedural changes
  • Assist with FRC recruitment, including resume screening, phone and in person interviews as needed
  • Maintain a small caseload of clients as an Family Resources Coordinator, as available
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Senior FRC Manager
  • Provide or support outreach, intensive informing, care planning, coordination, anticipatory guidance for complex health needs, assistance to access services, consultation, resource development, interagency coordination, training, program planning, quality management, and administration to support Medicaid programs.

Qualifications


Required Competencies

  • Ability to set and perform at the highest standard of FRC service delivery within Washington State’s Early Support for Infants and Toddlers program
  • Demonstrate ability to work within a healing-centered inclusive work culture that captures the power of a culturally diverse work environment and community
  • Articulate a fundamental understanding of current issues and challenges facing individuals from underserved and marginalized communities
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and pay attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and project management skills

Required Education & Experience

  • B.A./B.S. degree in a field related to social services or early intervention preferred
  • Experience mentoring or training FRC service delivery
  • Current registration as a Family Resources Coordinator with the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program
  • Full-time employment with Kindering
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply

Minimum Prerequisites

  • Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check
  • Demonstrate skill in word processing and familiarity with MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Possess valid Washington State driver’s license and valid automobile insurance
  • Have access to a dependable personal vehicle
  • Be able to lift 40 pounds (average three-year-old)
  • Pass tuberculosis test
  • Ability to show proof of current immunizations, including COVID-19 and MMR vaccine or titer test* 

*Kindering requires those supervising and providing in-person services to children to be vaccinated/ or apply and be approved for a sincerely held religious belief or medical exemption.
