What you’ll do

As the Manager Strategic Revenue Management (Revenue Growth Management) you will act as a key business partner and the everyday base pricing and trade promotion effectiveness expert for the organization. This position helps drive consumer penetration and category profit pool growth, by leading the strategic development & execution of optimized price-pack architectures and trade spend optimization across brands/sub-brands and channels. This individual will provide support for everyday pricing and promo analytics and build team capabilities to deliver profitable value and volume growth. This position will report to the Director of RGM/SRM and work directly with all levels of the KIND team. This individual will be the functional expert analyzing promotion tactics and performance (ex. lift, ROI) to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness while identifying trends across different retailers to assist with developing strategic initiatives. And this is how you’ll do it…

  • Price Pack Architecture
    • Proactively collaborate with Marketing, SF&P and Sales for optimized brand pack-price architecture across key sizes, ensuring pricing attractiveness vs competition
    • Support core pricing & promo analytics (e.g., brand ladders, pack price curves, price & promo simulations) leveraging full capabilities of Sequoya, IRI and other RGM/SRM tools.
    • Monitor, update and optimize price-pack value curves across sub-brands and channels
    • Collaborate with SF&P, Trade Marketing, and Marketing on innovation launches providing pricing recommendations with a view for channel conflict
  • Pricing
    • Proactively collaborate with Sales, Trade Marketing, Cat Man teams to unlock price point opportunities by channel for category/profit pool growth with customers.
    • Partner with Finance, Sales and Marketing to recommend marketplace price increases and estimate the Sales & Profit impact along with any volume adjustments needed do to price elasticities
    • Monitor retail pricing landscape and KIND pricing status (e.g., Price Points, Price Tiers, Curves)
  • Trade Promotion Effectiveness
    • Lead post event promo analytics (ROI, lift, etc) across strategic accounts, and deliver compelling summaries for activation by developing Account Playbooks
    • Collaborate with RGM/SRM Director to develop national promotional guidelines and partner with Trade Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies through AMPS
    • Manage the complete data harmonization process with Sequoya and maintain the KIND Promo Database
    • Partner with SF&P to ensure promo recommendations are included in Annual Operating Plan
    • Monitor KIND vs competitive promo depth and frequency and identify gaps
  • Trade Architecture
    • Collaborate with VP of Commercial Finance and Director of RGM/SRM to develop new Pay for Performance trade architecture incorporating customer segmentation and aligned KPIs
    • Support analytics and implementation of bracket pricing program
  • Foundational Analytics
    • Build new tools and capabilities to support ongoing analytics with an eye towards efficiency
    • Manage and maintain existing analytical systems and tools, ranging from home grown tools to more advanced applications (i.e. Best Weeks, WMT Beats Tool)
    • Act as the RGM/SRM Tool Suite expert and train organization as needed

    Required Experience:


    You have…

    • CPG or Food Industry experience within Commercial Finance, Category Mgmt or RGM/SRM required
    • 5yrs of Cat Man or Commercial Finance or 2-3 yrs of SRM/RGM experience
    • B.S. is required. MBA is a plus
    • Solid interpersonal and communicating skills
    • Strong analytical and advanced modeling skills in Excel
    • Knowledge of pricing and promotion analysis techniques
    • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • A drive, commitment and sense of urgency that inspires others to achieve results
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems

    Pluses

    • Knowledge of Sequoya or other TPO platforms, syndicated data, Tableau, Power BI
