Compensation and Benefits:

• Compensation: Starting pay rate of $17.00, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.
• Benefits: Full and part-time, seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:
The Mountain Bike Rental Tech prepares guests for fun on the mountain by outfitting them with proper fitting mountain bike equipment & properly fitting guests to the correct mountain bike to set them up for the best chance of success. Entry level position with limited previous experience required. Training provided to learn new skills! Encourage a positive atmosphere in the rental shop for guests and employees alike. Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist guests with proper paperwork, rental equipment including helmets, pads, shoes, etc.
• Ensure all rental forms are completely filled out and filed properly
• Size, fit, and instruct guests with and use of bicycles and related equipment, helmets, and pads
• Advise guests on riding techniques and routes, based upon their ability
• Ensure all bikes and related equipment are properly maintained and ready to be rented
• Provide information related to the Mountain Bike Program and the Killington Resort Area
• Provide basic instructions to guests on the proper handling of bikes
• Ensure all guests have an exciting, fun, and memorable experience
• Conduct audits on bikes when returned to ensure no damage has been caused to equipment
• Assist with the washing and cleaning of returned bikes and test brakes, shifters, and related equipment to ensure all items are in working order

Basic Qualifications:

• Basic mountain bike knowledge and understanding of mountain bike riding
• Good communication skills
• Friendly, courteous, polite and guest service focused
• Neat and clean appearance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High school education, plus 2 years of mountain bike riding experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
• Three months or more experience in basic mountain bike operations or bike riding in general
