PURPOSE OFPOSITION The role of the Accounts payable position provides financial, administrative and clerical support to KidsTLC. The role is to complete payments and control expenses by processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. This role must maintain timely and efficient workflows to insure expenses are properly recorded in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. o Properly records all invoices into the Accounting System. o Obtain appropriate approvals per agency financial Spending Policy o Maintain historical records.o Record all checks and cash deposits received at the agency - Senior Accountants detail o Pay employee expenses by verifying expense reports. o Maintain vendor accountso Must maintain compliance with Departmental procedures and Corporate Policies to ensure Financial Integrity o Perform data entry associated with accounts payable o Review and reconcile invoice discrepancieso Audit and process credit card bills o Insure outstanding credits are recorded appropriately o Address and respond to vendor inquiries o Prepare analysis of accounts and produce monthly reports o Continually work toward improving the payment processeso Other duties as assigned. Demonstrated ability to communicate professional both verbally and in written correspondence. Strong work ethic with a high level of personal integrity and trustworthiness. Reliable and dependableHigh degree of attention to detail Strong Time Management Skills Knowledge of basic accounting principles Strong Organization skills LANGUAGE ABILITYAbility to read and interpret documents such as GAAP Accounting Guidance regulations and other regulatory requirements. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic Mathematical skills are required.
