Kids University is a non-profit organization which provides tutoring to low-income students in grades K-8th in the Dallas-Richardson area. Our tutoring programs are located in the apartment communities where the students live. Each day the students come home to Kids-U!!
Kids-U is providing High Impact Tutoring (HIT) through the Texas Education Agency (TEA). This is a part of the TCLAS grant Kids-U received from TEA.
The Academic Coach (AC) position involves tutoring students in math, language arts and reading. AC's will work hands-on with individual students and a small group of 1-10 students in the tutoring program. The tutor/camp counselor acts as a role model for each child.
Duties include assisting students with homework and daily tutoring subjects. Tutors will interact with children and build individual relationships with each child, gaining insight to the needs of each child. Kids-U offers a unique hands-on teaching style which makes learning fun!
We are currently seeking individuals that are Bilingual who speak English and Spanish.
Hours and days of tutoring are flexible. Please contact us to see if your schedule will fit our schedule. Our program hours are M-TH 2:30-6:15 pm. You must be able to work at least 2 days.
