Kidney Care Center is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Cleveland, TN

The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for the physicians practice and will provide administrative support across the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
  • Attend to patients at front desk.
  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and triaging them appropriately
  • Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
  • Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patient’s arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
  • Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
  • Scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access
  • Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
  • Participate in individual & group projects as directed by management
  • Other duties, as assigned
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
  • Responsible for supporting the values and customer service standards of KCC.
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all staff, clients and vendors
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
  • Initiates action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.
EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant diploma preferred
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity preferred
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently yet function in a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong data entry, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • High integrity, team player with patient service focus and flexibility
EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting; experience in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word and Excel a must
  • Good presentation & communication skills
  • Must be productive & resourceful with the ability to meet deadlines
