About The Role
Responsible for management of the operations and activities of accounts payable function ensuring that fiscal practices are followed and disbursement of funds is within guidelines. Supervises, monitors activities, satisfies reporting requirement, and maintains detailed records of all activities and transactions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports for management review
- Maintenance of agency cash flow position
- Perform all necessary bank transfers
- Manage fixed asset entries
- General ledger analysis
- Credit Card application, custodian, and payments
- Maintenance of line of credit and amortization schedules
- Process health insurance payments and reconciliation
- Process providers payment
- Classroom, appreciation, fundraising, and training budgets
- Recurring payments (rents, leases, utilities, etc.)
- Prepare FSA and DCAP reconciliation
- AP Aging report
- Request From/To General Checking and Money Market account
- Prepare JE for all bank transfers
- Book all fees and related transactions for Investment Account
- Prepare annual 1099 forms
- Supervise Accounts Payable Specialists
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors
Preferred qualifications
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting
- 3-5 years related accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- General knowledge of accounting practices including processing invoices for payment, journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis. Knowledge of principles, practices, regulations, and procedures as they relate to purchasing and accounts payable.
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus (Sage)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

- Must pass a health screening and TB test
- Must pass background fingerprint clearance
- Valid Driver License
- Must be 18 years or older
- The ability to lift up to 30lbs may be needed during some job duties
