We are looking for a Qualified and Experienced School Age Teacher to join our team. Applicants must have great love and patience for children. Previous experience in teaching or desire to learn and grow through the certification process. The Teacher is responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of her/his assigned classroom ensuring that it functions at the highest quality standard and meets criteria established by state licensing guidelines. This includes but is not limited to the following areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

· Develop a careful and creative environment appropriate for school-age children

· Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

· Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)

· Organize classroom schedule and supervise children to ensure they are always safe

· Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background

· Collaborate with other educators

· Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

· Proven experience as a School -Age Teacher

- Proficient in lesson planning

- Capable of running and maintaining a full classroom of 25 children

· Excellent understanding of the principles of child development related to school-age children's educational needs

· Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

· Excellent communication and instructional skills

· Ability to act as a mediator between children when conflict arises

· Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

· AA degree/ Lead EEC Teacher qualified in education or relevant field

• Paid: Holidays, vacation days, snow days, personal days, professional development classes, CPR, and First Aid classes. Applicant must complete 90 days of probation to obtain the above benefits.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 – 40 per week
