About the role:

The person in this position will assist the KGA Work Life team by providing 30-minute financial consultations as part of the Employee Assistance Benefit up to 10 hours per week. This position is remote with occasional onsite meetings

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide 30-minute financial consultations as part of the Employee Assistance Benefit, with focus on budgeting, spending plans, and student loans
• Approximate caseload of 5-10 consultations per week

Skills:

• Union, credit counseling agency, or similar financial services program
• Knowledge of digital financial tools and other financial services (CFPs, debt management programs)
• Strong listening skills
• Strong customer service skills

Education/Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Certification in credit or personal finance coaching/counseling/wellness or equivalent (e.g., AFC, CUCFC, Certified Personal Finance Counselor or similar)
• Experience working for credit unions, credit counseling agencies or other financial institutions required. Knowledge of financial resources and tools required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing financial counseling/coaching in a credit
