RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Database Administrator in Seffner, FL.
Duties Include:
* Cloud Database Administrator will design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud-based database solutions, including SQL and NoSQL databases
* Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and scalability
* Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance standards
* Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and other issues
* Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements
* As a Cloud Database Admin, you will plan and execute database backups, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies
* Automate database administration tasks using scripting languages and cloud-native tools
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in cloud database administration and Azure services
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* Proven experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in a cloud environment
* Strong proficiency in Azure cloud services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL
* Experience with platform as a service (PaaS) offerings for databases
* Solid understanding of database management concepts, including database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization
* Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
