Keyway: Center for Diversion & Reentry is Hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist (Social Services) Near St. Louis, MO

Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Specialist.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring quality assurance standards, processes, and controls for the agency are being adhered to. The Quality Assurance Specialist is also responsible for managing and maintaining software and data to meet reporting requirements for various Keyway funders. This position reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with the Grants Manager and leadership team.

(Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following)

Overarching Responsibilities:

Compliance/Auditing

  • Assist in developing and implementing Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
  • Manage tasks associated with obtaining accreditation and for making sure standards and guidelines for accreditation are maintained.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance trainings for staff and be able to present the rationale for meeting minimum standards.
  • Assist in conducting regular checks on paper and digital participant files to verify data completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure the health and safety of individuals and human rights are upheld for each participant by monitoring programs safety checklists.
  • Ensure compliance with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal safety, insurance, licensure, and funding and accreditation standards and complete plans of correction, as necessary.
  • Prepare for external audits and perform internal audits.
  • Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports.

_ Grants _

  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of research and data to support grant applications.
  • Meet regularly with Grants Manager and leadership team to ensure comprehension of all aspects of the grants, including reporting compliance, spending requirements, and outcomes.
  • Will be responsible for doing backup billing and reporting for grants.
  • Monitor income and expenses as related to grants

Data Management

  • Manage Quality Assurance compliance data: create and review reports, analyze trends in meeting Quality Assurance standards, and share results with leadership.
  • Act as point of contact for data management system with both vendors and staff.
  • Monitor input of compliance data to ensure accuracy and correct, as necessary.
  • Train staff in how to use the data management system.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Frequent and regular internal contact with all Keyway staff.
  • Interact daily with the Grants Manager.
  • In depth reporting to the Director of Operations regarding quality assurance concerns/findings.
  • Interact with the leadership team to identify deficits and ensure understanding of quality standards.
  • Frequent and regular contact with accounting to ensure expenses are on track.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • Two years’ experience in data or quality management preferred.
  • Experience with government grants preferred.
  • Experience working for non-profit preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service focus.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods and tools.
  • Elevated level of computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database management preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High comfort level collaborating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and a professional approachable manner.
  • Strong planning, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills required for daily internal and external communications.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Considerable concentration.
  • Moderate to constant interruptions.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Moderate to considerable eye strain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
