New Team Lead

Key Lime Construction is a full service residential remodeling company with job sites located in the greater Austin and surrounding suburbs. We work primarily by personal referral and our friends networks are all over the city. We have been in business for 7 years and are currently looking to add a Team Lead. The ideal candidate would have attention to detail, ability to perform tasks in a timely manner, and knowledge as well as skills in all areas of remodeling. He or she would also need excellent communication skills, high ethical standards and a desire to grow with us as we serve clients in the greater Austin area. Applicants will be hired as an employee with payroll taxes deducted and paid holidays (paid vacation begins after one year of employment).

What’s a Team Leader?

• You have a responsibility to see your job site from start to completion.
• You have authority to talk with homeowners, arrive at decisions and record those decisions in CoConstruct.
• You have a responsibility to do your tasks.
• You have authority to make sure the rest of your team knows their task AND is completing their task correctly and efficiently.
• You have wisdom to know when it’s time to call the Project Manager for wisdom, troubleshooting or help.
• You have attention to detail and can see what needs to be done to move the project forward efficiently.
• You have leadership capacity to help all the people on your job site through their work day.
• To Be Successful:
• You practice SCOPE (Safety, Communication, Organization, Plan & Efficiency)
• You take 5-15 minutes at the start of the day to go over the day’s plans with your team.
• You take 5-15 minutes at the end of the day to evaluate what materials and tools you need for tomorrow for your job site - and communicate that to the PM.
• You respond to the group chat at the end of the day with your photos and what you need for tomorrow.
• You get what is needed for your team to be successful tomorrow.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation, phone, basic hand tools..
• Good personal demeanor & English speaking individual.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast - paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in all phases of repair & remodeling, I do not expect you to be an expert in all areas but knowledge is required.
• This job requires heavy lifting, climbing ladders, use of power tools, bending, kneeling, working outside in heat/cold some days. Carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, windows, doors, light plumbing, light electrical, power washing, roofing.
