Maintenance Tech/General Labor

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and general maintenance work of facilities, buildings attractiveness, grounds, and equipment including electrical, plumbing, painting tasks, cleaning, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Physically examine the property on a daily basis
• Managing repairs and ensuring the proper care of the property
• Maintain landscaping, utilities, signage, lobby and other community infrastructure elements
• Generally maintaining and improve the quality of the community and maintain public areas in a clean and safe fashion
• Adhere to all maintenance and purchasing directives including but not limited to (a) property inspections (b) maintenance assignments (c) utility system readings and controls (d) landscaping and grounds (e) safety (f) special maintenance items.
• Troubleshooting any needs for the property

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Have a working truck/van.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures;
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time;
• Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces;
• Work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain);
• Walk and climb stairs, handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment; Reach with hands and arms; Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word;
• Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions;

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Saint Petersburg, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required)
