    QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires knowledge of the purposes, methods, and practices of financial record keeping; general accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures as it relates to assigned area(s) of responsibility; modern office methods and procedures.
    Must possess the skill to learn the appropriate rules, regulations and technical procedures used in assigned area(s) of specialization; understand and carry out directions in an independent manner; apply general rules and regulations to specific cases; perform technical arithmetic calculations accurately and rapidly; type accurately at a rate required for successful job performance; operate office machines and equipment including computer terminal, calculator, and copy machine; establish and maintain a variety of record keeping systems and prepare a variety of financial and statistical reports as it relates to assigned area(s) of responsibility; identify and correct errors in a variety of mathematical computations and financial documents; establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
    Must possess the ability to maintain financial records and process documents involved in financial/special reporting transactions; assist in making financial and statistical reports of records and accounts maintained; set up and maintain bookkeeping records and/or worksheets for calculations, extensions, transfers, and verifications related to the record keeping for assigned program and/or fiscal area(s) such as accounts receivable, student body funds, attendance reporting, food served, menu productions, free/reduced lunch applications, stores/warehouse accounting, etc.; perform computations and changes to financial/accounting data and posts accurately to appropriate records; act as resource person regarding specialized program area(s) to District personnel, County, and the general public; explain procedures and processes of such programs as health and benefit plans, federal and state regulations pertaining to nutritional standards for school lunches, applying for free and reduced lunches, etc.; prepare journal vouchers and ledger entries to provide full documentation for all record keeping functions related to assigned departmental/program area(s); calculate, prepare and send out invoices for District services and facilities; perform other related duties as required.
    EXPERIENCE: Two years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance of financial or statistical records.
    A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
    DUTIES OF POSITION: To perform responsible clerical/technical accounting functions in support of a specialized program(s) and/or fiscal services. Employees in this class receive supervision from a supervisory level or designated staff within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This job classification performs specialized accounting and support services within an assigned department, program(s), and/or District accounting areas(s). This job class acts as a resource person regarding assigned area(s) and requires accuracy, attention to detail as well as independent judgment and problem-solving skills to be fully exercised in relation to specific area(s) of responsibility.
    STARTING SALARY: $3,063.69 (monthly)
    NUMBER OF MONTHS: 12 (to begin as soon as possible)
    NUMBER OF HOURS: 8 (daily working hours to be 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
