EXAMINATION SCHEDULE: Written Exam: will be conducted on: May 20, 2024Oral Exam: will be conducted on: May 29, 2024If an additional day is necessary: oral exam will be conducted on May 30, 2024Examinations: Written Exam (Weight 40%): Will be conducted for the purpose of assessing the applicant's knowledge of supervisory principles; applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines; public relations principles; mathematical principles; individual and group behavior theory; training principles; community resources; interviewing techniques.Oral Exam (Weight 60%): Will be conducted for the purpose of appraising the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant a written exam.If the number if applicants successful on the written exam is insufficient to warrant an oral exam, the written examination shall be weighed 100%. Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process. Minimum Qualifications/Employment Standards: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent and five (5) years of education and/or experience sufficient to obtain the knowledge and skill to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.Qualifying related work experience may include, overseeing the day-to-day operations of a program; supervision of staff engaged in the activities related to a program; verifying documents to determine eligibility for benefits, social services and/or employment; conducting needs assessments; making referrals for services; interviewing clients and providing program information to the public.Additional Requirements: Some positions may require possession of a valid California Driver's License.Full Job Description: Program Support Supervisor
