Job Description: Front Desk Agent
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Register guests and assign rooms, ensuring all required information is obtained
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information about hotel services and amenities
- Check guests in and out, process payments, and provide receipts
- Handle guest complaints or concerns, escalating to management when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and photocopying
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with event planning and coordination as needed
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer systems for data entry, reservation management, and email correspondence
- Attention to detail for accurate proofreading of documents
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
- Experience in project coordination or event planning is beneficial
This position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate must have a professional appearance and be able to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism.
