Description

The position of Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by working with a team of two other managers to ensure training and execution of our food program meet company expectations.

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of food & beverage management experience.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays during the operating year.
• Computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work well with and lead others.
• Ability to maintain positive and professional attitude when interacting with supervisors, management, hosts, vendors, and guests.
• Ability to report to work punctually as well as flexibility with respect to schedule.
• Knowledge of departmental and park wide policies and procedures.
• ServSafe certified or ability to become certified.
• Food and Beverage TIPS certified or ability to become certified.
• Driver's License.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with team to ensure guests receive a premium experience and strive to continuously improve experience.
• Assist in setting parameters for new products through creative, financial, and guest analysis.
• Constant oversight to ensure food production is always consistent and best quality.
• Model leadership behavior that encourages hosts to maintain and promote a safe and fun work environment.
• Provide leadership to hosts via reward, recognition, coaching, counseling, discipline, training, and development.
• Mentor and develop team for future supervisory and management positions.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure an efficient and collaborative operation.
• Complete daily paperwork and prepare reports as necessary.
• Use available systems and tools to achieve financial targets (labor, food cost, revenue).
• Assist in scheduling hosts and monitor and adjust as necessary to ensure excellent service while meeting or exceeding budgeted labor cost goals.
• Assist in researching and purchasing products and supplies.
• Ensure that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety are maintained at all times, including meeting or exceeding standards of park, company, Steritech, and Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness (LMDPHW),
• Establish and enforce controls to minimize food and supplies waste and/or theft.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is accurately and timely completed and filed.
• Draft, update, and oversee sanitation and safety training procedures as necessary for all department hosts.
• Attend staff and management meetings as necessary.
• Ensure hosts are in proper uniform and performing tasks appropriately, ensuring issues are addressed as necessary.
• Evaluate and update inventory control procedures to reduce waste.
• Monitor inventory of food and supplies and work with Warehouse to ensure ample stock at all times.
• Use software to monitor demand and provide and use inventory reports to anticipate future needs.
• Report any issues to Director of Food & Beverage immediately.
• Promote guest satisfaction through guest interaction, host efficiency, and area cleanliness.
• Address guest comments in a timely manner.
• Follow Emergency Action Plan (EAP), assisting as directed.
• Draft, review, revise, and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
• Establish and maintain a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all dining and service areas and equipment.
