By joining our Department of Highways, District 7, as an Accountant III in Fayette County, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee and perform technical accounting duties.
Holders of the Accountant III position will complete tasks such as:

• Perform accounts payable duties
• Maintain inventory of supplies
• Maintain filing system for all accounts
• Maintain accounting reports

Holders of this job will obtain the following skills:

• Learn to use eMARS software
• Learn the purchasing laws and procedures of the Commonwealth of Kentucky
• Learn to prepare and approve payment of district facilities utility bills, vendor payments and delivery orders
• Learn the ProCard payment process

Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:

• Accounting experience
• Bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets
