Position : Docket Specialist

Location : Cerritos, CA

Pay : $80,000 to $90,000 / yr (Depending on experience)

Experience : Two (2) years of law firm calendaring experience

Type : Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm or 8 : 30am-5 : 30pm (Ability to work OT as needed)

Job Description :

• Calculate, review, and enter state, federal, appellate and Office of Administrative hearing deadlines into CompuLaw
• Review and process incoming mail, faxes, emails, and filings to ensure important dates are calendared
• Create, update, and distribute deadlines, hearings and calendar reports
• Respond to docket inquiries and maintain database
• Provide research assistance to legal staff on court rules, codes, and practice guides to resolve conflicts within CompuLaw

Position Requirements :

• Knowledge of appellate, state and federal court filing procedures and the entire litigation process
• Proficiency in calendar / docketing software is required, CompuLaw (preferred)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to research hearings and deadlines utilizing state and federal court websites

• Create, update, and distribute deadlines, hearings and calendar reports
• Respond to docket inquiries and maintain database
