What We Need:
We are seeking an energetic, collaborative team member to work with our students to empower them to discover and achieve their potential! This team member will provide effective services to help all of our students succeed, socially, emotionally, behaviorally.
In this Role:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal the Paraprofessional will provide services to administrators, students, educators, and families that enhance the competence and well-being of children, including promotion of effective and safe learning environments, acadmic skills support, prevention of social-emotional and behavior problems, and teaching of positive behaviors and social skills that improve students’ learning experience. The Paraprofessional will support the Principal, School Social Worker, and Teachers with the implementation of school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and work to support students who are independtly working on their acadmic skills outside of the classroom setting. Specific responsibilities will include:
Assists teaching and non-teaching staff in implementing and monitoring behavior effective behavior management practices.
Supports the Teacher and Administrators in focusing on supporting students academic and social emotional success.
Coordinates with administrators and other staff members to provide interventions that meet individual students’ abilities and needs, including those who are at-risk, those receiving targeted behavior support, those with individualized behavior plans, and those with specific behavior supports identified in an IEP.
Serves as ready resource to students to provide interventions that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, and behavioral management; serves as liaison between home and school.
Works with school team to maintain a safe and positive environment for learning.

What You Need:Knowledge and skills in evidence-based behavior management approaches.
Knowledge and skills in differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
Knowledge and skills in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating individual or small group behavior support plans (including intervention fidelity and outcomes).
Knowledge and skills in collecting, analyzing, and maintaining student data, as well as the formulation of data-based action plans.
Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
Ability to organize and coordinate work.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work
EducationExperience
Successful prior experience working with students preferred
