A company that specializes in calibration, inspection, and repair is hiring a Field Calibration technician, who is willing to travel 25-40% of the time.
Ideally, you will be an accurate, and mechanically astute technician with an ability to multi-task and manage your time well. A friendly, and positive attitude will make all the difference as you support customers.
Key Responsibilities
Your key job functions will be to perform calibration, adjustment, and basic repair of precision test equipment, remaining focused on utilizing mechanical and dimensional measuring instruments.
In order to be successful in this role, the following experience is preferred:
· Pressure, torque, thermodynamics, weight/force, dimensional measurements including ULMs, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, and other distance/height gages.
· Previous work involving optical comparators and CMMs is also valuable.
· If you have electrical or electronic calibration experience, please also consider this position.
· Practical experience in evaluating tolerances gages, with the added ability to research and adapt varying modalities.
· Being familiar with ISO 17025 and gage management software is a plus.
A High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a calibration role are essential
