Description

REPORTS TO: Regional Coordinator of School Leadership and Learning JOB CATEGORY: Management FLSA STATUS/SHIFT: Exempt/First Shift QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: a. Required – Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with courses such as school administration; school supervision; middle school curriculum; problems, issues, and trends in education; child psychology; educational measurement; and guidance. b. Preferred – Doctorate from an accredited college or university with courses such as school administration; school supervision; middle school curriculum; problems, issues, and trends in education; child psychology; educational measurement; and guidance. 2. Experience: a. Required – Minimum of six years of successful teaching as well as a minimum of six years of successful experience as an assistant principal and/or principal. b. Preferred – Minimum of six years of successful teaching as well as a minimum of six years of successful experience as a principal in an urban setting. 3. Certifications: a. Required – Holds a Wisconsin administrator/middle school principal license or is eligible for Wisconsin certification as a middle school principal within one year from date of hire.
