St. Joseph Catholic Academy is in search of a highly motivated, inspired, engaging leader to join our staff as a part-time Middle School Student Services Coordinator. The Student Services Coordinator will support all students, both in and out of the classroom, academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. This individual will also help lead the school’s efforts to create a positive, structured, consistent, caring, and disciplined school culture towards the mission of the Academy and the formation of students.

Essential Job Functions:

· Build and maintain systems to ensure a joyous and achievement-oriented school culture.· Possess a clear vision of what great school culture looks like and regularly articulate this vision to students, staff and families.· Plan and implement a behavior management system with meaningful incentives to reward good behavior and with effective consequences to correct misbehaviors.· Lead school culture and character development:

• Consistently reinforce school’s high expectations for student behavior with all students all the time.

· Conduct regular school culture walkthroughs to maintain a high bar of excellence.

· Create individual plans for students with behavior challenges; partner with teachers to provide extra interventions.

· Set clear, measureable, outcome-oriented performance goals for the year.

· Coach teachers in classroom management and culture, focusing on the establishment of expectations/routines.· Help teachers build effective relationships with students and parents.· Serve as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team.· Support teacher leaders in developing their leadership skills.

Skills and Qualifications:

· The strong desire to improve the minds and lives of students in and out of the classroom.· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.· Strong organizational skills that ensure all tasks are captured, prioritized, and ultimately accomplished.· An understanding of Catholic school values, environments and culture.· A supportive, respectful, team player willing to put the needs of SJCA students, families and community ahead of self interest.· A mature, humble, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and "roll-up-my-sleeves" attitude.· Unquestioned integrity and commitment to the mission and values of SJCA.

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred; counseling experience is a plus.

· Minimum of two years teaching experience in a Catholic or faith-based school setting.

· Dean, administrative, or leadership experience in a school setting preferred.
